Because I do worse with rulers than without them, I make more messes with drawings like these. This is taking too long and I'm beginning to want to walk away from it- which I may... for a couple of days. It's getting to be a happy mess.

Hand Lettered Letter P, P is for Pen

There is nothing quite like breaking in a brand new sketch book. I splurged and bought two today. Lately I've been favoring Strathmore's cream colored paper over stark white. I made a mistake and bought a pretty sketch book on sale at Barnes and Noble and gave it away. What a waste. I could not draw a thing on that paper. I don't think I considered how good some paper is as in it's drawability until I ran nearly out of paper and was drawing on everything from card stock to sticky notes. Whatever Strathmore is doing, it's well worth every penny. It's like magic drawing paper and the ink finds it's own path.

I've been wanting to take pictures when the fog rolls in early in the morning but have forgotten to grab my camera on the way out the door as I walk with my son to the bus stop. I finally remembered this morning and  snapped a few. I may put more up later :)

I used a micron .05 over two days for this one. It's larger - nearly the size of my hand. I've been thinking about boarders and words but haven't quite figured it out yet. I'm open to word suggestions. I wish I could find great big stickers so I could ... ah... maybe I'll draw up some "poison" labels!!

It's a sad day finding your drawing shoved in a frame in an antique store. I opened it up and took back my drawing.

I can't read very well without these glasses and now I'm finding drawing without them squinty and strained. I feel very cool with them but after about 30 minutes they hurt like heck behind the ears.

Shy Birds, Big Ass Painting

I haven't measured, but I think this is somewhere between 3 feet by 4 feet? I don't even know where to put it yet and I'm not sure how to go about framing it because I'm dead broke after Christmas.
