Nervously picking out art to go in my friend Donna's new art gallery... I'm stressed and a bit frustrated. I quickly framed a recent pen and ink against my better judgement, since I'll have zero time to make prints. Tomorrow I'll throw these and other paintings in. The big ass paintings won't even fit in the car with the seats folded down. I need a truck. But then again, who would by a 5"x 5" painting?

New Project

Every year I work on a pen and ink series, a painting series and/or oil pastel series. This is the beginning of the pen and ink series. In between, I'll be doing hand lettering and whatever projects come about. I thought I'd keep taking pictures as this progresses. Even if I spill coffee on it or screw it up completely and have to throw it in the garbage, which sometimes happens.

Every day has been a struggle for me to get stronger. I've battled a very long time with eating dysfunctions. (I'm not going to use disorders.) My goal is to feel strong and work every day to keep my heart strong. I don't want or need to be sexy or desirable, pretty or fashionable. I just need to be comfortable in my own stronger self. For me, I finally found something that works. It's not perfect because I'm not perfect. I have terrible days sometimes, but more often than not there are good days. I thank God for showing me the way.

I've got quite a bit of Valentine's work to do on a tight schedule. Last month I waited till last minute to get book plates out for a library (stinking miserable for everyone who had to put up with me). On a good note, I had no idea EBSQ featured me as their featured artist till I went on today- the LAST day of the week (?- I think? maybe not????) and saw my own self up there!) Skreee! Happy!! Monsters Under The Bed

I made this little book of monoprints when I was 19 years old. They are a series of "monsters under the bed". Some are missing- three I think, given away. I can't even recall what they look like. I've held on to this through countless moves and endless boxes. It seems to always show up sooner or later. I found it today one of the book shelves.
