Swing Gate Table and Writing Desk

This is the second swing gate table I've painted in maybe six weeks. These are incredibly cool pieces and I have fun redoing the top as a more rustic farm table. This particular piece lifts off the legs. The writing desk was red originally. I decided to add Old White and distress. The writing desk will be available in Alyssa's Antique Depot this week.

I am a girl.

I'm transitioning my blog from something that's been more personal and a journal of sorts to something that's more for my business. I'm asked for pictures of my furniture, my art, my lettering and it it's easiest for me to put them all in one place.

It's a pet peeve of mine, but I'm often mistakenly referred to as a guy. Dissertations, articles on art, and some magazines assume that "Chris" must mean a boy. Although I don't think of myself as particularly feminine, I enjoy being a female and I cringe when I'm referred to as "him" or "his art". Anyhow, this is me. I'm flawed but strong, weak except for Christ who strengthens me and completely and utterly female. I'm married, so no weird mail please.

I custom paint furniture nearly every day and I can paint just about anything. Most clients want distressed painted furniture, but I've painted all kinds of things in all kinds of styles.
