Moths, Butterflies, Feathers, Eggs: a collection

The best part of putting this together is the giant moth given to me by my husband. He found it at work and brought it home for me. I don't think I'll ever see one as big or well preserved again. He's got good company with many other found winged things- feathers from owls, vultures, a Northern Flicker (the yellow one), dragonflies, butterflies, woodpeckers and all types of bird's eggs.

Snake Sketch

The Queen, The King, The Rabbit: just the beginning

Two Sketches of Moths

Moths are the butterflies of night, finding their sunshine around light bulbs and moon beams. They keep us company while we sit on our front porch and love nothing more than our flashlights. Their pretty wings spin in circles in the early morning grabbing the last moments of life.
