Owl Assemblage, Stained Art Cuts

After this project, I learned that I should invest in some sharp scissors. Anyhow, these are various drawings,  prints of mine - all stained, cut and played with. In real life they make small shadows. I wish I had enough patience to make a pop- up book.

Bone Collector

I was out looking for my dad's birthday gift and found THIS BOX. I'm pretty sure it's a garden box or green house but it's now a home for my deer skulls. They've been stashed in the crooks of my bookshelves and have been getting dusty and pushed around. Not a bad find for $24.99.  On another note, I'm still working on the Owl drawing. I need to remove  " O is for Owl" without destroying the drawing, then send it on it's way. No, it's not as simple as just copying the damn thing. But I aim to please, and please I shall!

A couple of days ago I was asked if I would do an "O is for Owl" drawing. And then my mother went in to the E.R yesterday morning. And then my step my went in to the E.R a few hours later. Today I frantically devoted a few hours to my owl- the first of  two or three renditions. I still have lettering to add but I'm hoping the hospital lighting will be good. When it rains.....

Organizing Butterflies and Moths and other Winged Creatures

I started collecting bones, bugs, butterflies (I know... but I don't count them as bugs), feathers, nests and rocks several years ago. Everything is scattered and disorganized. Today I was given these amazing boxes for housing my treasures. Thank you- I love you and I appreciate everything you do for me. And thank you for hunting down more pins too. Here is the start.

Bird, fox, cat, rodent and deer bones. All found on walks. Larger bones looking for homes. Currently housed in shoe boxes and on bookshelves.

I had to come up with something for my personal space at the gallery in Pensacola. I think it's going to be called SOHO GALLERY or something like that. He're's my first idea. I'm not sure it's going to be big enough, but then again, I don't want anything very big...
